Packaging printing with water-based ink printing as the main development object has formed a trend in the world. However, in China, the application of water-based ink is not very popular, and there is still a considerable gap compared with developed countries. Is the VOC emission of water-based ink high?

Industry experts believe that in the next 3-5 years, the domestic market for offset printing ink, screen printing ink, flexographic ink special inks and other products demand will show an upward trend, and with the strengthening of our people's environmental awareness, water-based ink and other environmentally friendly inks will show rapid growth.

Compared with solvent-based inks, the environmental performance of water-based inks is a step further. It not only does not contain aromatic hydrocarbon solvents, but also greatly reduces VOC, but still cannot achieve zero content, still contains a small amount of alcohols, ethers, and even organic amines.

Water-based ink has little impact on the environment, mainly polluting the air in the workshop. However, significantly reducing VOC emissions can effectively reduce air pollution, where the content does not affect human health, and is not easy to burn, and will not cause crisis or induce secondary pollution.

Due to the large difficulty coefficient, relatively speaking, the product quality will be excellent. However, there are not many manufacturers that can do water-based ink. This has a great relationship with the application of raw materials, especially the production and preparation has extremely high requirements.
